You can now schedule your appointments like normal! We’re scheduling cleanings regularly again, and they are filling up fast. We’ve had to space out our appointments more than normal to allow for extra sterilization time between patients, and because the office was closed for two months, we have an excess of patients trying to schedule at the same time, so please bear with us if it takes a little longer than normal to get in for an appointment.
What we're doing to protect our patients and staff-- ever since the HIV epidemic in 1985, the CDC has required healthcare facilities to practice under the premise of "universal precaution". What this means is that we assume that anyone walking into the office could be infected with a contagious disease. Because of this, we have always followed a standard of sterilization, cleanliness, and protection of staff and patients. In addition to the regular sterilization and heavy duty cleaning that we've always done, we've added extra precautions such as face shields, isolation gowns, wiping down the waiting room and common areas between patients, and increasing our already used hospital-grade cleaning wipes to a newer hospital-grade wipe with a stronger solution and quicker drying time.
When you arrive for your appointment, you can come inside to wait in the reception area (mask required), or if you'd feel more comfortable, you can call us when you've arrived and remain in your car until we're ready to see you.
We appreciate your help in this immensely- this appears to be the “new normal” for healthcare offices now, and we’re trying to keep up with the ever-changing policies to protect us and you. We can’t wait to see you soon!
